Chittering Valley
The Chittering Valley is under one hours drive by road, north-east of Perth. The region's topography is the key to this diversity, with hills and valleys producing a number of microclimates suitable for different grape varieties. The climate is typically Mediterranean, with hot dry summers and cool, wet winters. Night time temperatures are very cool during the growing season due to the elevation and continental effect of the region.
This is ideal in retaining acid structure and flavour of the grapes. All of the fruit for Western Range Wines is sourced from the local area where the growers pride themselves in sustainable viticultural practices, which includes the minimal application of chemical sprays to consistently produce fruit of outstanding quality every year.
