Welcome to Western Range Wines

Nestled in the Lower Chittering Valley, the gently rolling hills form a tranquil backdrop to the myriad of orchards, farms and vineyards that dot the hillsides. Situated up to 300 metres above sea level, the climate and soils of the Chittering Valley are quite different to those of nearby viticulture regions. The climate is typically Mediterranean with cold, wet winters and warm, dry summers.

Our first production in 2001, produced medal-winning wines. From there our Branded Wines have flourished winning very many trophies, and medals over the past 10 years. We are within the Perth Hills appellation and currently have approximately 315 acres under vine, most of which are aged between 20-70 years old.

Vibrant aromas of sweet plums, chocolate and blueberries are well integrated with cedary oak and spice. A succulent and long finish balancing the wines power and richness.
Intense blackcurrant and blackberries are enhanced by perfumed cedary oak. A soft, juicy palate of sweet fruit is supported by fine tannins and a lovely confectionary aftertaste.
Rich and intense with lifted aromas of coffee and caramel. The palate is sweet and full with luscious confectionary flavours. This mouth-filling flavour is complemented by a lovely warmth and lingering finish.
Succulent flavours of lemon rind and passionfruit lead to a generous and textural palate. A clean and crisp acidity create excellent balance and a fresh, lingering aftertaste.
Intensely aromatic with delicate undertones of green apple, kiwifruit and citrus. The palate is dry, elegant textured with persistent fruit flavour of lemon and stone fruit, coupled with lingering zesty finish. Ideal with spicy Asian food and seafood dishes.
This consistent Gold Medal winning wine is a deep garnet red. Strong vanilla scented oak with earthy liquorice complexity with wild berry. Serve with rib-eye beef duck, venison, matured cheddars and blue cheeses.
